Artificial Grass Bad For The Environment

I remember when plastic grass first came along and thinking what the hell is this about?! I worked for a company that did home and garden wear, who were quick to jump on the bandwagon, at the time it didn’t sell great, I remember using several rolls for visual merchandising in the gardening department.

Now this stuff has become popular and people are really replacing their actual grass with it, over time the blades of plastic grass break off and end up blowing into soil and areas with plants releasing microplastics into the earth. We know the damage plastics are doing to our microorganisms and the long-term effect it's having on the planet, not to mention how hot it gets when the sun hits it! It has zero benefits and is worse than having a manicured grass lawn, at least birds can still feed on worms and grubs on a fresh-cut lawn.
