There are 3 castes of honeybee in a hive the Queen, worker and drone. The spring/summer worker bees will live around 5-7weeks, winter workers on the other hand because they are not out foraging will live 4-6months. Drones will live for around 90 days depending on if they have a successful mating flight or not and the Queen will live for around 3-5 years. Any leftover drones are kicked out of the hive heading into winter, they don't do anything inside the hive besides eat very valuable food sources, the queen will begin to lay new drones in the spring ready for mating flights.
