How many eyes do honey bees have?

A honey bee has 5 eyes, 2 large compound eyes on the side of its head and 3 small ocelli on the top of its head. The ocelli cant distinguish shapes but work as light sensors warning the bee when predators are approaching. The compound eyes are the eyes for seeing shapes; a lot bigger than the ocelli the compound eye is made up of lots of tiny lenses and covered in small hairs. The hairs are believed to be a tool for detecting wind direction but also help the bee when collecting pollen making the honey bee super-efficient pollen collectors.
