You may have not noticed the hefty mandibles (jaws) on a leafcutter bee they are pretty mean looking with those big chompers, but I'm here to assure you they won't cause you any harm! Those jaws are specifically for cutting leaves, you may have noticed some circles on the leaves in your garden before it's most likely from a leafcutter bee now this causes absolutely zero damage to the plant the only thing that changes is the aesthetics.
Believe it or not these bees are classed as pests for this and there are people in this world that are getting rid of these bees because they don't like the way their plant looks when they are nest making. Now for the suckers who think this is acceptable I'm here to tell you that your chemicals are doing very little harm to these bees as they are not ingesting the plant, now if you want to stop nature from being nature I suggest you create a physical barrier and you and I both know that cheesecloth wrapped around your plant is going to look far worse to the eye than a few holes in your leaves. At the end of the day, we can't stop nature, these bees are not the pests we are.
