What the hell is bee bread?
No, it is not bread made out of bees nor bread shaped like bees 😂
Bee bread is used by the bees as a source of protein to feed larvae and young bees. It consists of pollen, nectar and bee spit which leftover time ferments, creating vitamin and mineral-rich feed for the girls. It can take 3months for the pollen to become bee bread and so far man has not been able to recreate bee bread in a lab. Like most things to come out of the hive bee bread is incredibly healing to the human body, but before you go rushing out to buy any please make sure you source from ethical beekeepers and remember how long this process can take in the hive just like your honey this is a bees life work and we have to learn to respect and appreciate the process.
